I was admitted to Harmony Davenport last July for skilled therapy before transitioning to long-term care. Looking back, I truly appreciate the therapy department for helping me regain my strength—more than I had before my admission. When I first arrived, I needed moderate assistance to walk just 10 feet, but now, thanks to their dedication, I can walk 150 feet with only supervision. The progress in my daily activities has been just as remarkable—I went from needing total assistance to requiring only setup help.
The staff at Harmony have been nothing short of wonderful. The nurses and CNAs are attentive, listening to my needs and making me feel comfortable every step of the way. The activities team is supportive and always invites me to events, even though I don’t attend many—I still appreciate their thoughtfulness.
Admitting I needed more help than I thought was a hard realization, but the staff reassured me that everything would be okay. The business office manager guided me through the Medicaid process, and the social worker helped me get the items I needed. Their support means so much to me.
This was my first Christmas spent in a facility instead of at home, and yet, I felt surrounded by love and care. The kindness I’ve experienced here has made all the difference. Overall, my experience at Harmony Davenport has been truly great, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to call home.
